Having known Lydia for over 7 years, we always consider Lydia’s English reading class a highly valuable component of Zac’s development in the elementary school phase — and foreseeably the upcoming middle school years. Throughout the years, we have witnessed how a little boy once reluctant to learn a foreign language has gradually gotten a grip on the language and discovered the joy of learning and reading, and how once awkward and fragmented expressions have become correct and clear enough to convey his ideas. We believe that a very big part of all these is credited to Lydia’s company and teaching.

Seen from the teaching and guidance in and beyond class, it is evident that Lydia has a very good grasp of students’ needs and individual qualities, based on which she never fails to design classes that are instructive, intriguing and individualised.

Lydia has demonstrated extraordinary patience and enthusiasm in language teaching, which is very important and valuable to non-native language learners. In the journey of language learning, Lydia is not merely a teacher who always impresses us with her professional teaching techniques and abundant teaching content, but more of a friend who introduces children to the marvellous world of English.

Our children really enjoy their English lessons. They are losing their fear of speaking freely and can help shape the lessons by introducing their own topics. It is a thousand times better than school classes and significantly more effective. For us parents, coordinating with Lydia is very straightforward, and we always receive updates on the current lesson content.

Lydia is a great teacher! Ann has been attending classes with Lydia for over a year now. My child told me that Lydia’s courses are very interesting, the materials are well selected, the teacher carefully creates the courseware, and is responsible for grading homework. My two children have been taking weekly English lessons with Lydia Bagley for around a year and a half. During this time, both children have improved by one to two grades at school, which has made me very happy.

After every lesson, Lydia sends a short update explaining what was covered and how the lesson went. She also shares a recording of the lesson, which is very helpful. Whenever needed, she supports the children with their homework and helps prepare them for upcoming school tests and exams.

Any changes to lesson times are arranged easily via WhatsApp, and payments are made simply through PayPal on an hourly basis. One thing I especially appreciate is that Lydia always does her best to make lessons possible for the children. Several times we have had to change our regular lesson times because of new school timetables or sports training. She has always been incredibly accommodating. At my request, she even teaches during the school holidays at completely different times so that the children do not have long breaks from learning and our holiday plans are not disrupted.

The children genuinely look forward to their lessons every week. Afterwards, they enthusiastically tell me about the topics they discussed. Lydia happily incorporates each child’s individual interests as well as current political, cultural, and sporting events into her lessons, which I think is excellent. It makes the lessons engaging and enjoyable, and I always love hearing the children excitedly tell me what they have learned.

Over time, I have also built a lovely relationship with Lydia myself, and in the future I would like to take lessons with her as well to improve my own English.

Lydia has been our daughters’ English tutor — they are now aged 17 and 14 — for the past three years. Our goal was to help them improve their English, especially their speaking skills, and to become more confident when communicating in English.
